WNBA, USA Network parent reach 11-year rights deal
Indiana Fever forward Aliyah Boston (7) defends Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson (22) during Game 4 of the WNBA semifinals on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The WNBA and Versant announced an 11-year deal on Tuesday to broadcast league games on USA Network, beginning with the 2026 season.
Financial terms were not revealed for the pact, which runs through the 2036 season and calls for at least 50 games on the network each season. That includes playoff games in "select years," starting in 2026.
The agreement expands the amount of games aired by USA Network under a previous deal. Under the terms, USA Network will have Wednesday night doubleheaders, and each broadcast night will include pregame and postgame coverage.
"Partnering with Versant and USA Network marks another significant milestone for the WNBA's continued growth," league commissioner Cathy Engelbert said. "As demand for women's basketball continues to rise, partnerships like this expand the visibility and accessibility of our game. By establishing a weekly primetime destination for fans, this agreement will showcase the excitement of the WNBA to more households than ever before and further elevate the incredible athletes in this league."
Versant is being spun off from Comcast Corp. and will include most of NBCUniversal's cable networks, including USA Network and Golf Channel once that move, scheduled for early 2026, is complete.
The WNBA has existing broadcast deals with Disney, Amazon, NBC and Scripps-owned ION.
