Vice Sports Shutters Amid Layoffs
As Variety reported today, Vice Media is laying off two percent of its employees in order to expand video production. That two percent appears to include the entirety of Vice Sports.
Today, Vice Sports editor-in-chief Jorge Arangure said that he lost his job and the site would be shut down:
Staffers David Roth and Aaron Gordon confirmed the layoffs:
Vice launched Vice Sports in the summer of 2014. As of now, Vice staffers aren’t entirely clear on which, if any, will stay.
