The Last Word in Lonesome is Me

Imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning here in cavernous Deadspin Headquarters and found that everyone had vanished. Not a soul about. Even my faithful dog "Shithead" has deserted me.

Will Leitch, of course, is enjoying Day 8 of his Carnival Cruise (he's paying his way by doing his magic act — three shows a night). A.J. Daulerio is hibernating. Even the Mighty MJD is nowhere to be found, busy working on his award-winning butter sculptures, no doubt. So for the first time ever, this blog will be operated for an entire day without a co-pilot. Solo. I have no idea what perils may await.

Of course, one is never truly alone when one has friends. Or in lieu of friends, if one has readers who send in tips. So keep 'em coming to tips@deadspin.com. And throw me some comments, just so that I don't feel like Charlton Heston in Omega Man.
