The Carlton Dance Makes NFL Debut (Update)
Lions cornerback Alphonso Smith jumped this Sam Bradford pass and took it to the house, scoring six football points and infinity ridiculous dance points when he broke out everyone's favorite mid-'90s dance— "The Carlton Dance"—in the end zone.
If you're unfamiliar, Alfonso Ribeiro's The Carlton Dance is likely the one moment from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air that everyone can agree on—that and how sad Will Smith's "How come he don't want me, man?" scene is—so we're stoked to see it brought to the NFL by another Alphonso. Is this "the new thing?" Because if it is, we're fine with that.

Update: Turns out Alphonso Smith is not the vanguard we thought he was. Johnnie Lee Higgins pulled it off two years ago while a member of the Raiders and Maurice Jones-Drew allegedly did "a few years ago."
