Team Falcons, Tundra Esports battle in BLAST Slam III final

Team Falcons and Tundra Esports swept their way on Saturday to Sunday's grand final of the BLAST Slam III playoff stage in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Tundra Esports downed Gaimin Gladiators 2-0, winning in 58 minutes on red and 38 minutes on green.

Bozhider "bzm" Bodganov of Bulgaria led Tundra with an 11-1.5-11.5 average kills-deaths-assists ratio.

Team Falcons topped Team Spirit 2-0, winning in 45 minutes and 74 minutes on green.

Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf of Jordan starred for Team Falcons with a K-D-A average of 10.5-4.5-15.5.

The $1 million Dota 2 tournament began with a single-day group stage featuring two round-robin groups of five teams apiece. All matches were best-of-one. The top teams received byes into the semifinals, the second-place finishers were seeded into the quarterfinals, the third-place teams were seeded into Round 2 and the fourth- and fifth-place teams were placed into Round 1.

The playoff stage concludes Sunday in a single-elimination bracket. All matches were best-of-three until Sunday's best-of-five grand final.
