T1, Bilibili Gaming post Swiss Stage sweeps at Worlds

Jan. 24, 2020 T1 and Bilibili Gaming recorded Swiss Stage sweeps on Friday at the 2024 League of Legends World Championship in Berlin.
T1 defeated G2 Esports in a Round 4 High Match, posting 28- and 42-minute wins on red. Bilibili Gaming eliminated PSG Talon in a Round 4 Low Match, winning in 35 minutes on blue and 28 minutes on red.
The Swiss Stage format of the $2.225 million event sorted 16 teams into eight Round 1 matches, with Rounds 2 through 5 seeded based on win-loss record. Teams that reach three wins advance to the Knockout Stage, while teams that wind up with three losses are eliminated.
Through Friday, the teams that have advanced to the Knockout Stage are Gen.G Esports, LNG Esports, Hanwha Life Esports, Top Esports and T1. The eliminated teams so far are paIN Gaming, MAD Lions KOI and PSG Talon.
Elimination and advancement matches are best-of-three, while all others are best-of-one.
