Stephon Marbury's Time As Knick Is Not Officially Over — For Now
Even though it was widely speculated that Stephon Marbury would no longer be in New York this season, new Knicks prez Donnie Walsh says that the noggin-tatted point guard will be working out with the team and all of this talk of a buyout is completely false. Walsh said that speculation was completely initiated by the press and he's had one conversation with Marbury about his current status with the team and Stephon was "completely fine with it." So there. Regardless of Walsh's refute, Newsday says it would be surprising if Marbury shows up at Skidmore College to begin workouts with the Knicks, considering the $12 million they've spent on free agent point guard Chris Duhon in the off-season. Also, scheduled to show up at Knicks' camp next week? 37-year-old Allan Houston who has apparently regained his shooting touch and is able to run up and down the floor without his knee exploding.
