Russian Goalkeeper Takes A Flare To The Back Of His Head [UPDATE]
In today's Euro 2016 qualifier between Montenegro and Russia, a flare from the stands hit Russian keeper Igor Akinfeev in the head. Ouch. Here's another look:
Update: Due to the incident, the match was initially suspended but has since recommenced.
Update (6:21 p.m.): The match was finally abandoned in the second half due to unclear circumstances. You can view the entire incident below, which features a failed Russian penalty attempt followed by something so dire it led the referee to cancel the match entirely.
