Russell Wilson Finds Jermaine Kearse At The Most Important Time
Over the course of the game, Russell Wilson targeted receiver Jermaine Kearse six times. On four of those targets, the Packers picked Wilson off. Kearse only made one catch, but it was the one that sent the Seahawks to the Super Bowl.
Wilson's 35-yard bomb to Kearse gave Seattle a 28-22 overtime win over Green Bay. Wilson and the offense were dreadful in the first half, finishing with eight net passing yards. And yet, the Seahawks bounced back and erased a 19-7 deficit in the fourth quarter, got to overtime, and won.
