Report: Suns G Eric Gordon to decline $3.4M option

The 35-year-old former first-round draft pick averaged 11.0 points with 2.0 assists in 68 games (24 starts) for the Suns this past season, his 16th in the NBA. He was set to make $3.4 million.
Gordon, who shot 37.8 percent from 3-point range for the Suns, has averaged 15.7 points over 886 career games (652 starts) for four different teams, including seven seasons with the Houston Rockets and two stints for the Los Angeles Clippers, who drafted him in 2008.
The Indiana product has averaged 2.8 assists per game in his career and is a 37.1 percent shooter from 3-point range. He shot 42.3 percent from distance in 22 games for the Clippers in 2022-23 after a trade from the Rockets.
Gordon was named Sixth Man of the Year in 2017 with the Rockets.
