Report: Steven Stamkos Will Stay With The Lightning
Photo: [object Object] The hockey stove is engulfed in flames and burning the house down and everyone is crying. Forward Steven Stamkos will reportedly shirk all other suitors before they have a chance, and re-sign with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The NHL’s free agency period doesn’t open until July 1, but according to TSN’s Bob McKenzie, the 26-year-old Stamkos will stay with the Bolts in an eight-year deal:
The Red Wings had shoved off Pavel Datsyuk’s contract to the Coyotes last week in order to make cap space for a run at Stamkos. The dream was fun while it lasted.
