Report: Ken Starr To Resign As Baylor Chancellor [Update]
According to ESPN’s Joe Schad, former Baylor University president Ken Starr (yes, that Ken Starr), has resigned from his current position as chancellor. He was demoted to chancellor just last week, following the university’s admission that it discouraged women from reporting sexual assaults by football players, and retaliated against those who did.
Starr is just the latest administrator to lose his position in the wake of the scandal. Former head football coach Art Briles, former athletic director Ian McCaw, and two former football staffers have also been fired in the last week.
Starr was initially lost his role as president but was to remain chancellor, where his job duties were to be restricted to “external fundraising and religious liberty.” He is also a member of the law school faculty, and it is not yet clear if he will still have a position there.
Update: ESPN’s Mark Schlabach is reporting that Starr will in fact stay on on the law school faculty:
