Report: Johnny Manziel Released From Rehab
After over two months spent at an inpatient rehab facility, Johnny Manziel has been released, according to ESPN. Manziel entered the Cleveland-area facility at the end of January, meaning he spent over two months in rehab, presumably (though never officially announced) to address his problems with alcohol. In the last couple of weeks Manziel has been spotted out and about, such as playing golf with his dad, suggesting that he had completed the strict inpatient portion of his rehab.
The next football step for Manziel is to attend offseason workouts, which start next Monday, April 20. He presumably sits behind newly signed Josh McCown on the Browns’ quarterback depth chart, but in February the team hired Kevin O’Connell—who trained Manziel leading up to the 2014 NFL draft—as quarterback coach.
