Remembering The Time Shaq And Nate Dogg "Made Paper And Footprints In LA"
There was no shortage of tributes to the late great G-funk singer Nate Dogg today — he died in Los Angeles on Tuesday at the age of 41 — but we haven't yet seen this music video posted. The song, "Connected," was made for Shaq's never-released 2001 album, Shaquille O'Neal Presents His Superfriends, Vol. 1 There are a couple of forgettable verses from Shaq, who was entering his sixth season as a Laker and thus declared himself "the king of Los Angeles" (also curious: in the line "I brought the title by myself to Los Angeles," the words "by myself" are cut out?) and one from WC. Nate Dogg, of course, carries the track with his hook, which is just as smooth as the ones we know all of the words to.

So we're aware that it's tournament time, and that some of you entrepreneurial folk have started a bracket pool for Deadspin readers, but we have gone ahead and started our very own tournament challenge. Right now Dicktern is the only person in it, which means he has a 100% chance of winning the undisclosed prize, which means we all have to join immediately. So go click about sports! The deadline for entry is tomorrow at 12 p.m. EST. It's so close because we're journalists, you see.
