Prediction Markets See Justin Bieber as a Top Super Bowl Halftime Candidate

Nothing unites the world like a good Justin Bieber performance.

Seriously.

Bieber’s Coachella numbers were massive. He generated a record 149 million plus total views and drove an unprecedented 172% surge in U.S. catalog streams. The internet was buzzing after a simple performance where Bieber opened a laptop on stage and sang along with his songs from all different generations on YouTube – karaoke style.

His World Cup halftime performance didn’t generate as much buzz, but despite this, there are rumors that Bieber could be eyeing a tour as well as a Super Bowl halftime show.

And that’s exactly what the world needs right now.

What prediction markets say about a Bieber halftime show

According to Kalshi, a popular online prediction market that allows users to buy and sell contracts of real-world events, Bieber has a 29% chance at headlining the Super Bowl halftime show this Valentine’s Day at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. A 29¢ contract on Bieber would payout just about three times its worth if he’s the headliner.

Jay-Z has a 48% chance of headlining and Miley Cyrus has a 30% chance of being the headliner on Kalshi as of July 24. Post Malone (20%) and Taylor Swift (14%) are both being viewed as more distant options than Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber.

Jay-Z and his entertainment agency, Roc Nation, select the Super Bowl halftime performance each year, working alongside a small group of senior executives at the NFL and the show's production team. Despite choosing the headliner each year, Jay-Z himself has never performed at the Super Bowl. This year? He currently has the best chances on prediction markets to perform.

A Bieber halftime show is what the world needs.

In 2026, Bad Bunny delivered an entertaining halftime show – but much of the NFL’s core audience complained about not knowing much of his music, as it’s predominantly in Spanish. In 2025, popular rap star Kendrick Lamar took his beef with Drake to the Super Bowl halftime show in a performance that upset much of that same, older demographic that didn’t enjoy Bad Bunny’s halftime performance.

Even though Bieber is a strong appeal to the NFL’s next generation of fans, there’s an appreciation that even an older audience would be forced to have for his music. One, he can sing. That was proved in the Coachella performance. But he can also dance, play the piano, play the guitar and the drums.

Go look through Bieber’s catalog. There’s a lot of pop hits from several different eras of his music career. It would be a fun time to do it, especially as the world showed Bieber appreciation following his Coachella and World Cup sets.
