PGA Championship Delayed Because Course Was Under Water
Heavy rains at Valhalla put a hold on the final round of the PGA Championship today. Play was suspended at 12:53 p.m. and what officials initially thought would be a quick delay soon ran longer as the rain worsened. It got so bad that many areas of the course, including greens were completely under water.
The rain finally stopped and over 100 workers with squeegees tried to dry the course off as best as possible. The PGA announced that play would resume at 2:40 p.m. and the latest tee time will be 4:19 p.m. It's still uncertain if play will finish tonight, or if there will be a Monday finish.
While we're here, let's see how Sergio Garcia and Luke Donald handled the rain.
