Patrick Sharp's Daughter Is The Cutest Sports Baby
Babies with the Stanley Cup are almost as much of a tradition as bodily fluids in the Stanley Cup, but just slightly more adorable.
Last night, Patrick Sharp tweeted out this photo of the Cup being inspected by his 18-month-old daughter Madelyn, who was the subject of a cover story in Chicago Parent magazine. Madelyn had a pair of skates by the time she was six weeks old, the Sharps said, and she’ll be on the ice “until she says she doesn’t want to be.”
While that sounds slightly cruel, I believe this photo solidifies Madelyn’s crown as the world’s cutest sports baby, a position previously held by Baby Mangino. Just look at Patrick and Madelyn on the ice after Chicago’s Game 6 win:
Or Madelyn taking a victory lap:
Or Jonathan Toews trying to get her to smile:
Sharp reportedly asked CBC camera operators to film as much of Madelyn as they could, so she’d be able to see this stuff when she’s older. But if she does end up playing hockey like he hopes, there are some images she might want to forget. Like her pink poodle costume from Halloween:
Or her Cubs-shirt-and-tutu combination from when dad threw out a first pitch:
The Blackhawks’ championship parade is today; they’d better let Madelyn address the crowd.
