Panthers Defensive Backs Coach Resigns Amid Harassment Investigation [Update]
source: AP On Wednesday, Carolina Panthers defensive backs coach Curtis Fuller suddenly and surprisingly resigned from his position. No reasons for the resignation were given at the time, and head coach Ron Rivera only said, “it’s a complicated situation,” when directly asked about Fuller’s departure. Today, the team has revealed that Fuller’s resignation was spurred by a harassment investigation.
From ESPN:
“After approaching Coach Fuller with the findings of an investigation into complaints of inappropriate conduct, we accepted his resignation,’’ team spokesperson Steven Drummond said in a statement. “The Panthers are deeply committed to ensuring a safe, comfortable and diverse work environment where all individuals, regardless of sex, race, color, religion, gender, or sexual identity or orientation, are treated fairly and equally.”
