Omri Casspi And Steph Curry Traded Threes In A Wildly Entertaining Shootout
The Warriors were probably always going to beat the Sacramento Kings at home, and their 122-103 victory Monday night became a foregone conclusion after DeMarcus Cousins was ejected early in the third quarter. But before then, when the Kings were still hanging tough and even leading, there was an amazing three-minute stretch to end the second quarter where Omri Casspi went toe to toe with Steph Curry in a three-point duel.
Setting aside Darren Collison’s layup with two seconds left in the half, Curry and Casspi were the only other players to score in the final 3:15 of the quarter. Casspi went 4-4 from three on his way to a 13-18 night (9-12 on threes) and a career high 36 points. Curry, meanwhile, went 6-6 (5-5 from three) for a cool 17 points in three minutes, after having scored none in the previous 21 minutes of play.
