Ohio State Fires Assistant Coach Zach Smith Following Ex-Wife's Domestic Violence Protection Order
source: [object Object] Ohio State has reportedly fired wide receivers coach Zach Smith, three days after his ex-wife filed a domestic violence civil protection order against him, and just about two months after Smith was charged with criminal trespassing in mid May. OSU’s statement was brief:
Smith’s attorney was on 105.7 The Zone in Columbus today, and described domestic violence allegations against Smith, stretching back to a 2009 felony arrest in Florida for aggravated battery, as “just not true.” But according to officers on the scene of the incident in 2009 “determined Zach was the primary aggressor” in an altercation with his then-pregnant wife. Smith was reportedly arrested in May for trespassing on his now ex-wife’s property, and a judge granted the ex-wife’s request for a protection order on Friday.
