The Pride improved to 11-0-5, including 5-0-3 in road matches. Kansas City dropped to 10-1-5.
Barbra Banda had the first Orlando goal in the 37th minute. Banda has 12 goals in 12 matches this season, including at least one in three straight matches. Marta posted her fifth goal of the season.
A bad foul on Kansas City goalie Adrianna Franch in the penalty area allowed for Marta's penalty kick in the 63rd minute.
Carrie Lawrence's red card late in the first half put the Pride in a tough situation. Orlando Goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse made seven saves.
Kansas City had six shot attempts in extra time, with Moorhouse notching two saves during that span.
Temwa Chawinga scored for Kansas City in the 39th minute, extending her streak of goals to five consecutive matches. She has scored seven of her 12 goals this season during that stretch.
