No. 24 Michigan posts dominating win against Purdue Fort Wayne

Vladislav Goldin scored 13 points, Roddy Gayle scored 12 points and Danny Wolf had 13 rebounds for Michigan (9-3), which had lost two straight. The Wolverines remained unbeaten at home this year.
Jalen Jackson scored a game-high 27 points in defeat for Purdue Fort Wayne (9-5).
The first half was the big difference in the game, as Michigan stormed out to a 54-29 lead at intermission on a sterling offensive performance.
The Wolverines made 21 of 27 shots overall and 9 of 12 from 3-point range in the first half. Michigan also held a 22-5 rebounding advantage at halftime as part of its dominant first half.
Michigan didn't let up to start the second half, taking a 67-31 lead with 16:14 remaining in the game after a layup and a dunk by Gayle.
The Wolverines didn't allow a surge from Purdue Fort Wayne, grabbing an 85-47 lead with 6:28 left after a basket by Donaldson. The only thing Michigan failed to do by game's end was reach 100 points.
Michigan finished the game shooting 62.7 percent from the field overall (37 of 59) and making 10 of 21 shots from 3-point range. The Wolverines had 10 players score.
Purdue Fort Wayne shot 32.3 percent (21 of 65) from the field overall and made just 8 of 38 attempts from 3-point range.
Michigan held a 48-17 rebounding advantage and had 21 assists to just six for Purdue Fort Wayne.
The Wolverines did commit 18 turnovers to just six for Purdue Fort Wayne, but it wasn't enough to threaten Michigan's dominance in other categories.
Michigan jumped on Purdue Fort Wayne from the start, jumping out to a 23-4 lead with 12:11 remaining in the first half after a 3-pointer by L.J. Cason.
The Wolverines then went up 40-18 with 4:10 to go until halftime and eclipsed the 50-point mark with 1:29 remaining in the first half.
