NFL Looking Into Yet Another Dirty Play By Vontaze Burfict
[object Object] It was reported yesterday that the NFL will be reviewing the low hit Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict put on Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett during Sunday’s game, and today brings news that the league is looking at another incident involving Burfict from that very same game.
While everyone was focused on the dirty hit on Bennett, we seem to have overlooked this play in which Burfict looks to be purposely stomping on the leg of Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount:
NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that Burfict will be facing a hefty fine rather than a suspension, but one would imagine that he is on thin ice given the fact that he has already been suspended once for being the dirtiest player in the league.
