Embiid, 31, sat out Philadelphia's next game, a 121-102 win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. due to his chronic knee injury.
The fine also accounts for the 76ers' prior history for violating injury reporting rules, the NBA announced in its release.
Embiid has been limited to seven games this season and is averaging 19.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
