Mariners SS J.P. Crawford hit on hand, leaves game

Crawford left Seattle's game against the visiting Los Angeles Angels on Monday after getting hit with a pitch on the back of his right hand.
Leading off the bottom of the first, Crawford was struck by an 0-1 changeup from Angels left-hander Tyler Anderson, a former teammate with the Mariners. Crawford immediately dropped his bat and clutched his hand while being attended to by a trainer.
Crawford eventually went to first base and, after an infield single by Victor Robles, scored on a line-drive single by Cal Raleigh.
However, Crawford didn't take the field in the top of the second, with first baseman Dylan Moore moving to short and Luke Raley entering the game to play first.
Crawford, 29, is batting .204 with a .299 on-base percentage, a .347 slugging percentage, nine homers and 32 RBIs in 77 games this season.
