Last Night's Winner: The Kings' Only Highlight Of The Season
Tyreke Evans nailed an honest-to-god game-winner from halfcourt. No lame first half buzzer beaters, no overturned on review horseshit. Just a desperation heave to save the Kings. Now watch, Evans will miss two months and Sacramento will lose 10 in a row.
Soak it in, Kings fans. As the worst team in the NBA, it's unlikely we'll be featuring you on here that often unless Carl Landry throttles Paul Westphal for playing him off the bench. And with Evans set to have a procedure on his foot that could sideline him a few months, well, you're probably just better off killing yourself than watching Sacramento Kings basketball.
But then you get the occasional night like last night, when a battle between two last-place teams is close all the way, with multiple players on both sides contributing, and comes down to OJ Mayo and Tyreke Evans with dueling miracles. Fun, yes, but I'm not buying NBA League Pass just on the off chance this happens again.
