Kendrick Perkins Somehow Becomes The Central Part Of An NBA Finals Controversy
source: [object Object] At the end of the third quarter of Game 2, Steph Curry missed a three and sauntered back towards his bench in front of the Cavaliers. Most of the Cavs let him walk freely, but not Kendrick Perkins, who refused to close his widespread legs and knocked knees with Curry.
The Cavs theoretically signed Perkins to hurt people, and while he’s mostly spent his time wearing a suit and starting various futile feuds, he could’ve caused Curry to trip and tweak his ankle. Thankfully, he did not, and the two jabbered a bit before going their separate ways.
After the game, Curry laughed off the exchange, and didn’t react to what seemed like a clear attempt to provoke him.
Neither Curry nor any other Warriors players would go on the record with ESPN’s Chris Haynes about the non-scuffle, though several players said they were “disturbed” by Perkins’s actions (or lack thereof) and saw it as a possible attempt to injure their star player. Golden State won’t be able to retaliate by having Draymond Green zero in on Perkins’s dick and balls, since the Cavaliers aren’t yet desperate enough to have an actual relic play minutes at center.
