Jose Canseco Can't Hit Anymore, But He Can Still Get Himself Tossed For Arguing Balls And Strikes

So how's it going for Jose Canseco in his stint with the Worcester (Mass.) Tornadoes of the Can-Am-League? Well, he's hitting just .171 with zero home runs and 15 strikeouts in 41 at-bats. And while he has drawn nine walks, he doesn't always seem to get a favorable strike zone, as you can see in the video above.

In the third inning of Sunday's game against the New Jersey Jackals, Canseco took a pitch that did appear to be low and outside, only to have home-plate umpire Fred DeJesus call it a strike. Canseco then struck out by waving at the next pitch, after which he said something to get DeJesus to run him. It was a doubleheader, and Canseco did not play at all in the second game.

But how about this video? There's the splendor of Holy Cross's Fitton Field, complete with the image of cars whizzing by along I-290 out beyond left field, plus all those empty seats. And at the 17-second mark, a young child can be overheard asking, "Where's the really old guy?" Since Canseco's arrival in Worcester, I imagine it's not the first time that question has been asked about him.
