Jonas Abrahamsen captures Tour de France Stage 11

Abrahamsen and stage runner-up Mauro Schmid of Switzerland were the first two attackers on the 158.8-kilometer trek around Toulouse and the first to cross the finish line. Mathieu van der Poel of the Netherlands crossed in third place, seven seconds back.
It was the first career Tour de France stage win for the 29-year-old Abrahamsen.
Ireland's Ben Healy retained the overall race leader's yellow jersey. Three-time and defending champion Tadej Pogacar of Slovenia is second despite a crash on Wednesday. Belgium's Remco Evenepoel sits third, followed by two-time winner Jonas Vingegaard of Denmark and American Matteo Jorgenson.
The first of three stages in the Pyrenees begins Thursday with the mountainous 180.6-kilometer Stage 12 from Auch to Hautacam. The 21-stage spectacle will conclude July 27 in Paris.
