John Wall Ejected After Bumping Official
Nick Wass/ [object Object] The Wizards are 1-5 after a 114-106 loss to the Rockets, and Bradley Beal, when asked what the problem is, said it’s “just heart.” So everything’s great in Wizardland! At least John Wall didn’t have to stick around to the bitter end of this one.
Wall, on the same night he passed Wes Unseld for the all-time franchise assist lead (a hell of an accomplishment at age 26), picked up his second technical late when he made contact with a referee, and then said...something.
Light contact, to be sure. Referee Marc Davis explained why he T’ed up Wall:
“For inappropriate language and using vulgarity toward a game official. He already received his first technical foul. After granting the team a timeout, I felt that there was contact and that he bumped me. I wasn’t certain of his intent. I told him to watch himself. He looked over his shoulder and used vulgarity and inappropriate language and was ejected on his second technical foul.”
Wall would automatically serve a one-game suspension if he is deemed to have made “intentional physical contact” with the official.
