Jessica Mendoza To Permanently Join ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball Broadcast
Here’s some good news for baseball fans: Former Olympic softball player Jessica Mendoza will remain in the booth for ESPN’s this upcoming season. She will be joined by play-by-play man Dan Shulman and analyst Aaron Boone.
Mendoza was thrust into the spotlight last year, when ESPN gave her Curt Schilling’s analyst spot after he did some dumb shit on Twitter. Mendoza did a good job providing analysis and commentary, and her presence in the booth should improve the quality of the broadcast going forward.
If you’re worried about missing out on Curt Schilling’s insight, he’ll still be in the booth for ESPN’s Monday night baseball games. John Kruk, on the other hand, has been moved back to the Baseball Tonight studio, and won’t be calling any games next season. I don’t think anyone is going to be too upset about that.
