Jayson Werth Has A Profane, Shaggy Message For His Haters
Photo via [object Object] The Washington Nationals took the rubber match against the Chicago Cubs this evening after an insane 12-inning affair that featured the Nationals going ahead in the 8th, losing the lead in the ninth, forcing extra innings, falling behind in the 12th, then finally walking off after Jayson Werth singled in Michael Taylor to give them a 5-4 lead. It was a hell of a way to end a series between two of the best clubs in the National League, and a walk-off by the longhaired, 37-year-old Werth was a suitably wild way to end things.

The actual hit was about the third most-interesting facet of this walk-off (it was a single after all). For one, it’s Jayson Werth and he looks like an inhabitant of People’s Park, and also, he gave a wonderful, joyous, profanity-laced interview on MASN after the game:
