Mandatory Credit: Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports The Jacksonville Jaguars are signing cornerback Tyson Campbell to a four-year, $76.5 million contract extension that includes $53.4 million in guaranteed money, NFL Network reported Tuesday.
The team selected the Florida-born Campbell with the 33rd overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The 24-year-old is entering the final season of his four-year, $9 million rookie deal and could have become an unrestricted free agent after the 2024 season.
Campbell, 24, will be under contract through the 2028 season.
In 43 games (42 starts) with Jacksonville, Campbell has 203 tackles, six interceptions, 30 passes defensed and two forced fumbles. He was limited to 11 games last season because of a hamstring injury.
It's the latest big deal this offseason for the Jaguars, who also agreed to extensions with quarterback Trevor Lawrence (five years, $275 million) and Joshua Hines-Allen (five years, $141.2 million).
