Hue Jackson Fondly Remembers The Time Baker Mayfield Went "Hee Hee!"
credits: Sue Ogrocki | source: AP This is the time of year when NFL coaches and talent evaluators are scrambling to find that one big insight that will reveal to them which incoming rookies are destined to be stars. Does hand size hold the key? Bench press reps? Polite manners? Browns head coach Hue Jackson has found something else: the ability to make funny noises.
Here’s Jackson during an interview this morning, telling reporters how impressed he was by Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield’s ability to rile up his teammates with weird sounds:
Now, are we really supposed to believe Mayfield was walking around the locker room going “Hee hee!” My working theory is that he was doing something much cooler, but Hue Jackson, as an old person, was unable to translate it properly. My current guesses for what Mayfield was actually doing: the Yeet, Lil Uzi Vert’s “Yah! Yah! Yah!” part from “Bad And Boujee,” or Future’s “La dee da dee da, slob on me knob” part from “King’s Dead.”
