High School Basketball Game Derailed By Brawl Involving Fans And Players
A high school basketball game in Indiana had to be called off midway through the first quarter after an ugly foul sparked a brawl that involved both players and fans.
Griffith High's Anthony Murphy was shoved hard in the back by Hammond's Tim Echoles while going up for a dunk in the first quarter. Murphy went crashing into the wall, at which point the court became flooded with players and fans shoving and throwing punches at each other.
It doesn't look like any serious damage was done, but police are reviewing the tape to try and identify any adults who threw punches. On a lighter note, I think we can all agree that the PA announcer who meekly urges fans to return to their seats while all hell breaks loose is the real MVP of this video.
