Here Is The Exact Moment The Suns Gave Up
The Phoenix Suns were actually up by two on the Celtics in the third quarter in Boston yesterday, but they didn’t show much interest in keeping that lead. With the Suns on defense, some miscommunication led to Marcus Smart having an entire half of the court to himself. Smart couldn’t knock down the three, but when the rebound bounced right back to him, the Suns once again refused to close out on the redo.
When Smart missed that three as well, Al Horford jogged to the rebound, Marquese Chriss and Tyson Chandler didn’t seem interested in following him either. Horford finally made his corner three and put an end to a godforsaken possession.
Boston led for the final 16 minutes of the game and won, 116-111, dropping Phoenix to 8-16 on the year.
