Mandatory Credit: Eric Hartline-Imagn Images Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen will be out at least six months following surgery for a ruptured right triceps tendon, the team announced Thursday.
Ristolainen, who missed the final 16 games of the regular season with an upper-body injury, had the procedure on March 26 and will be sidelined through training camp.
Dr. Neal ElAttrache performed the surgery in Los Angeles and Ristolainen is expected to make a full recovery, said a statement from Flyers general manager Daniel Briere.
Ristolainen, 30, recorded 19 points (four goals, 15 assists) in 63 games in 2024-25. He has 304 points (56 goals, 248 assists) in 776 career games with the Buffalo Sabres (2013-21) and Flyers.
Buffalo drafted the Finland native with the eighth overall pick in 2013.
