Floyd Landis Wanted For Computer Hacking. Really.
Remember when Floyd Landis didn't really win the Tour de France because of his iron-rich blood or something? France sure does and now they think he might have broken into the computer system that held his test results.
French anti-doping officials revealed today that a French judge issued an arrest warrant for Landis two weeks ago. He is wanted for questioning over a computer "hacking" incident at the Chatenay-Malabry laboratory in 2006. That was the year Landis was stripped of his Tour de France victory after doping tests—which were processed at that lab—disqualified him due to high testosterone levels. Landis tried to use the hacking incident during his appeals process to show that the lab was mishandling their data. It did not work and he was banned for two years. Whoops.
So basically Floyd's' life is now the plot of "Sneakers." At least, I think that's what that movie was about. I watched it 15 years ago on a stolen cable box so the picture was a little fuzzy.
