Dutch Airline Boss Arrested For Peeing On Putin's Fence
If you're a foreigner in Sochi for the Olympics, one of the things at the top of your "Things not to do at the Olympics" list should be "Peeing on Vladimir Putin's fence." Someone should have told that to Dutch Airline mogul Atilay Uslu.
Uslu, the head of Dutch speed skating sponsor Corendon Dutch Airlines, was out until 2:00 a.m. celebrating his country's strong showing in the Olympic speed skating events when he suddenly needed to pee. So he found a nice fence to pee on, which just so happened to be part of Vladimir Putin's villa. Uslu was quickly surrounded by police officers and arrested.
UPI.com has more details:
Uslu said the soldiers were talking about a "one way ticket to Siberia and asked me if I had not seen the security cameras or knew that it was Putin's house."
Uslu, whose company sponsors many of the Netherland's skaters in the Olympics, said he was released after about an hour, but he noticed about $1,364 cash was missing from his belongings.
"I don't really feel like trying to get it back," Uslu said.
Uslu should consider himself lucky. At least Putin didn't unleash his Olympic leopard on him.
