Drew Stanton Danced And Carson Palmer Told The Crowd To Suck It
While a new piece of Peyton Manning falls onto the field every week, another aging quarterback with an injury history is having his Kurt Warner period. Carson Palmer didn’t have the cleanest game Sunday against the Seahawks—with two of his three turnovers resulting in touchdowns—but he did come away with the win, and for that, you can all suck it.
Arizona held a 22-7 lead at halftime, but Seattle rallied and took a 29-25 lead in the fourth quarter. Palmer’s punt-fumble was his low point, but for most of the game, he handled the Seahawks’ pressure. When the quarterback’s turnovers put the Cardinals in an unexpected hole, he orchestrated a four-minute, 83-yard drive to take back the lead, and followed that up with a second four-minute, 80-yard drive to bleed the clock and step on the Seahawks’ feathery throats. Andre Ellington’s 48-yard touchdown gave the Cardinals a 39-32 advantage, and backup quarterback Drew Stanton danced on the sideline:
