Don't Count Your Game-Winners Before The Buzzer Buzzes

You know that thing where a team recovers possession with time running out and thinks it has the game won, so a player hurls the ball up into the air in celebration even before the buzzer sounds? The video above is the cautionary tale: make sure that ball doesn’t come down with time left.

Rhode Island high school ball here, with Burrillville taking the lead with four second remaining, and seemingly sealing things by breaking up the inbounds play. But after some premature jocularity, Chariho got one more chance, and came out with the W.
