Dee Ford: Jadeveon Clowney Plays Like A "Blind Dog In A Meat Market"
Folks, we have some hot NFL draft prospect beef. THIS BEEF IS HOT.
Former Auburn defensive lineman Dee Ford did an interview at the NFL Combine, and he believes that he's better than touted prospect and fellow defensive lineman Jadeveon Clowney. Surprise: A player has confidence in himself. But Ford's quote about Clowney's technique was funny.
From ESPN:
"I'm better [than Clowney]," Ford, also a pass-rushing draft prospect, said during the [SiriusXM radio] interview. "Let's put it like this. People like to talk about size all the time. Size is pretty much overrated in my eyes.
"You can look at guys like Robert Mathis, Elvis Dumervil, Von Miller. These are 6-2 guys and under. People are just looking at the fact that [Clowney] is a physical specimen. Honestly if you watch the film, he plays like a blind dog in a meat market basically."
Both are excellent players—duh, that's why they're projected highly in the draft—and Ford is correct in his belief that a pass-rusher can play like a bigger person. But "a blind dog in a meat market" makes for some creative HOT BEEF.
