Craig Sager's Leukemia No Longer In Remission, Given 3-To-6 Month Prognosis
TNT basketball sideline reporter Craig Sager’s leukemia is no longer in remission and his doctors have given him a prognosis of three-to-six months left to live, he reveals on HBO’s Real Sports tonight. You can see a bit of his discussion with Bernard Goldberg above.
Sager, known for his gaudy suits and good-natured sparring with Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, was originally diagnosed with leukemia in 2014. He briefly came back to the airwaves near the end of the 2014-2015 NBA season, before his leukemia returned. His son served as a bone marrow donor, which seemed to defeat the disease, and Sager has been a fairly regular presence on the sideline this season.
