Charles Oakley Says James Dolan Won't Even Look Him In The Eye
Former Knicks player Charles Oakley went on the Boomer & Carton show today to talk about the stuff cranky old basketball players love to talk about: How the game just isn't the same anymore, and how today's players are too damn soft. Once those topics had been exhausted, though, Oakley went on to talk about his ongoing feud with Knicks owner James Dolan, which escalated at last year's all-star game.
According to Oakley, he attempted to say hello to Dolan last year in New Orleans, but was only met with the coldest of shoulders. "He wouldn't even turn around and look me in the eye," says Oakley. He then goes on to claim that despite having played for the Knicks for ten seasons, he has to buy tickets to games on StubHub. He was apparently denied preseason tickets a few seasons ago because he had said some critical things about the team in the newspaper.
Anyway, I think the only reasonable way to solve this disagreement is to have Dolan and Oakley box each other. I'd settle for arm wrestling, I guess.
