Cardinals-White Sox rained out, rescheduled as Thursday doubleheader

The teams will make up the rainout as part of a doubleheader Thursday at Rate Field.
The rescheduled game will start at 1:10 p.m. CT to kick off a traditional doubleheader. Game 2 will take place directly after the conclusion of the opener, with first pitch tentatively scheduled for 4:40 CT.
Sonny Gray (7-2, 3.84 ERA) was scheduled to pitch for St. Louis on Wednesday while Chicago planned to ride Sean Burke (3-7, 4.71) in a battle of Opening Day starters. According to reports, the Cardinals will use Erick Fedde and Michael McGreevy (who will be called up to serve as the 27th man) as Thursday's games. The White Sox are expected to go with Burke and Mike Vasil.
