Cardinals Fans Of The Game In Baltimore Are Characters From The Wire

The Cardinals got smoked by the Orioles 12-2 last night in Baltimore and during some down time, the Fox Sports Midwest crew starting shouting out some Cardinals fans still in the crowd. There's Baltimore's own Jimmy McNulty hanging out with D'angelo Barksdale, Russell Bell, and oh yeah, Omar's coming too.

It's possible the crew got duped by someone who submitted character names from The Wire during a recurring feature, but not likely. Looking at his Twitter activity last night, play-by-play man Dan McLaughlin just deadpanned the whole bit in an otherwise boring blowout. McLaughlin was tweeting quotes from the show last night, so he was either in on it, or enjoying the bit after the fact. Either way it's funny.
