California Golf Coach Attempted To Order Hits On Children He Molested
California junior golf coach Andrew Nisbet, who was charged with over 65 counts of child molestation last December, tried to have two of his victims killed by a hitman while he was in jail, according to investigators.
As part of a plea deal, Nisbet—who worked at Los Positas Golf Course in Livermore—pleaded guilty to three counts of child molestation, one count of possession of child pornography, and three counts of solicitation of murder today. The counts of solicitation of murder were added after Nisbet tried to have two children killed. He admitted his intentions to an undercover inspector pretending to be a hit man.
From the San Francisco Chronicle:
Nisbet, who had worked at Las Positas Golf Course in Livermore since 2006 and was director of instruction, wrote letters from Santa Rita Jail in Dublin expressing his interest in having two victims "taken care of," investigators said.
A district attorney's inspector, posing undercover as a hit man, then visited Nisbet in jail in a secretly recorded meeting. Nisbet gave the inspector information about the two victims in question, investigators said.
Nisbet will start his sentence of 27 years and four months on Oct. 9.
