Brewers bring back LHP Wade Miley on one-year deal

Miley, 37, was with the Brewers in 2018, then returned to Milwaukee last season on a one-year, $4.5 million deal. He was 9-4 with a 3.14 ERA in 23 starts last season.
The new deal will pay Miley $7 million in 2024, with a $1.5 million buyout on a $12 million mutual option for 2025.
An All-Star in 2012 as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Miley is 108-98 in 13 major league seasons and has a 4.06 ERA in 315 appearances (308 starts) for the Diamondbacks (2011-14), Boston Red Sox (2015), Seattle Mariners (2016), Baltimore Orioles (2016), Houston Astros (2019), Cincinnati Reds (2020-21), Chicago Cubs (2022) and Brewers.
Miley also finished second in the 2012 National League Rookie of the Year voting when he was 16-11 with a 3.33 ERA in 32 appearances (29 starts) for Arizona.
