Rebilas-Imagn Images Charlotte Hornets guard Brandon Miller will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery Thursday in New York for a tear in his right wrist.
Miller had a torn scapholunate ligament in his wrist repaired by Dr. Michelle Carlson at the Hospital for Special Surgery, according to the Hornets. The team only added that "updates on his status will be provided as appropriate."
Miller, 22, last played Jan. 15 and missed the Hornets' past three games with the injury before the surgery decision was made.
He averaged 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game in 27 games (all starts) in his second NBA season. The Hornets picked him No. 2 overall in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Charlotte (11-29) suffered a 1-18 stretch from Nov. 23-Jan. 5 and sit in 13th place in the Eastern Conference. The Hornets were already without forward Grant Williams for the rest of 2024-25 due to a torn ACL.
