Brandon Crawford Would Not Stop Hitting Baseballs Last Night
Eric Espada/ [object Object] On Monday night, the Giants’ Brandon Crawford accomplished something rarer than hitting for the cycle or throwing a no-hitter: He became the first player since 1975 (and just the fifth player since 1913) to get seven hits in a game.
He tripled, doubled, and had five singles in eight at-bats, getting hits off six different Marlins pitchers and knocking in the go-ahead run in the 14th inning to give the Giants a much-needed, hard-won 8-7 victory.

The Giants gave him plenty of chances at the plate—leaving 18 men on base over the course of the five and a half hour game—and Crawford took the opportunity to rack up a host of impressive stats and superlatives.
A friendly reminder that Crawford was mercilessly snubbed when he didn’t make the All-Star team this year.
